KS Easter donates proceeds from Show n Shine to beyondblue
24 November 2017
Transport operator, KS Easter, has made a generous donation to mental health charity beyondblue , contributing a substantial portion of its winnings from the recent Western Star Trucks Show n Shine to the event’s chosen charity.
The Brisbane-based operator picked up five prizes on the day including best Western Star under five years, best Western Star fleet and truck of the show.
“beyondblue does fantastic work in our community raising awareness around mental health and wellbeing so with Penske Commercial Vehicles supporting beyondblue at the Show n Shine, we decided that we would make a donation,” said Ken Easter, managing director of KS Easter.
“It was an honour to win as many prizes as we did, and an absolute pleasure to make this contribution to beyondblue. We are pleased to play our part supporting them.”
Representing beyondblue, speaker Michelle Janssen presented her story to staff at Penske Commercial Vehicles.
“Thank you to KS Easter for the kind donation to beyondblue,” she said.
“As a speaker, I get to see first-hand the generosity of organisations and individuals who appreciate all the work beyondblue does.
“In Australia, around three million people live with anxiety and depression so opportunities to visit groups of people, share my story and promote beyondblue’s services are very important.”
